  • Supporting materials are not required, but strongly recommended to showcase your work to voters.

  • No, you do not need to provide a link to the show, however, the more materials that you supply for voter consideration, the more information voters have for their decision making process. Links are typically to streaming platforms where the project can be viewed.

  • Yes, you can submit a project on behalf of a Property Master if you are the project's Assistant Property Master or an official representative of the project. Submissions must be made by the Property Master, Assistant Property Master or an official reprentative of the project.

Television submissions must be submitted by season, not as individual episodes, and must have at least 50% of the season released between 01/01/2024 – 05/31/2025.

  • Yes, as long as 50% of the season's episodes fall within the eligibility window, it is eligible. Just know that once a season is nominated for an awards cycle, it cannot be submitted again.

  • As long as one of those dates falls within the eligibility window, it is eligible. Just know that once a project is nominated for an awards cycle, it cannot be submitted again.

  • It is up to you to decide which category you would like to submit for.

  • If your show was nominated in a previous year, it cannot be submitted again. Television shows can have other seasons submitted in future years, but the same season cannot be resubmitted. If your show was submitted and not nominated, it can be resubmitted if it still meets the eligibility window. Please refer to the submission details for more information here.

  • It is industry standard practice to charge a fee for projects to submit for award consideration. These fees help cover administrative overhead for the laborious task of submission review, the cost of trophy fabrication, and the fabrication and mailing of certificates. Industry averages range from $50 to $200 (with obviously some higher and some lower).

As a benefit to Guild members, submissions are $45 for members and $125 for non-members. The cost is per submission, but after two submissions in a category, you may request to have the submission fee waived for up to two more submissions by emailing submissions@propertymastersguild.org. Additionally, non-member submissions come with an $80 coupon for membership to encourage you to join (expires 12/31/2025 and do not stack).

  • You will be informed by the Awards Committee via email once your submission is received.

  • It falls to the Awards Committee to decide whether or not a category has sufficient submissions to proceed to the voting round. If it does not meet the criteria, then that category will be combined with other categories.

  • Once all submissions are received, there will be an Errors & Omissions window from June 23, 2025 through July 6, 2025 to make any changes to your submission. After that window closes, no further edits will be allowed. Look our for communications from submissions@propertymastersguild.org regarding that process.

  • Those who submitted a project that was approved for award consideration will be able to view their submission during the Errors and Omissions check window. After the window closes, submissions will be locked from viewing. Once voting opens, submissions will be opened for membership review through their account login.

  • Yes, Guild members can submit an individual for special consideration through the submission form here. For details on those award requirements, view the categories here.

  • Given to a Property Master Guild member for humanitarian work outside of specific craft work.

Answers on Submissions

  • Voting on submissions will open on July 14, 2025 and close on August 3, 2025. Nominees will be announced on August 7th.

A second round of voting on nominees will open on August 8, 2025 for X weeks and close on August 24th. Award Recipients will be announced at the Award Ceremony & Event Celebration on Saturday, September 13th.

  • We anticipate that the first round of voting could take several hours to review all submission materials. The Awards Committee has improved the process to review submissions materials this year to cut down on time required for voting. However, we encourage you to take the time needed to review all submission materials presented. Industry awards can have a great impact on careers and voting is a high responsibility to help select the best work to be award top industry credit in our craft.

The second round of voting is expected to take significantly less time as members will only be reviewing the five nominees, will have already seen the submission materials, and are only asked to cast a single vote.

  • Every member in good standing at the Property Masters Guild, regardless of classification, is eligible to vote. Members must be paid up and in good standing by July 6th for the first round of voting and August 3rd for the second round of voting.

  • Some organizations have one round of voting on the final nominees and create an internal review committee to select which submissions should become the nominees. The Awards Committee felt it was important to create as democratic a process as possible by having members vote to select the nominees. In future years, this process might change depending on feedback from members.

  • Because of the small but growing size of the Guild membership, a minimum voting threshold is required by the election provider to preserve fairness for each submission and category. This may change in future years based on feedback from the membership.

  • Each submission is asked to provide details and materials to educate voters in their work. Please take the time to review the voting materials to familiarize yourself with the submissions.

  • Nominees are announced on August 7th, and award recipients will be announced at the Award Ceremony on September 13th.

  • An outside, professional election provider, Big Pulse, is vetted and contracted to oversee and facilitate the voting process to ensure fairness, accurate voting, and unbiased results.

  • For round one voting on submissions, the ranked choice voting system used is Single Transferrable Vote. To be confirmed as a nominee, each submission must clear a minimum quota of votes to confirm a majority vote.

The quota is calculated by dividing the total number of ballots cast by 5, the number of nominees to be selected, plus one to confirm a majority vote.

Those votes are counted in voting rounds. In the first round, only first-choice votes are counted, and any submission who clears the quota is declared a nominee.

If additional rounds are required to reach five nominees, uncounted votes are reviewed for second-choice selections and those votes are transferred to the remaining submissions. If a third round is required, the submissions with the least amount of votes, and incapable of clearing the quota threshold, are eliminated and their uncounted votes are transferred to that voters next preference in ranked order. This process is repeated until five submissions have cleared the quota hurdle and been declared nominees.

In the event two or more submissions receive the same number of votes in the last nominee position available, uncounted votes will be reviewed for their second-choice preference and that vote distributed towards the voting totals to break the tie.

For round two voting on nominees, voting will be "first-past-the-post" meaning that each voter will be able to cast one vote per category and the nominee with the highest vote total will be declared the recipient.

Ties will be broken by referencing the tied nominations’ relative voter approval in the first-round nominating ballot, e.g., if nominations A and B are tied in final round voting, and if nomination A had X-number of first-round votes and nomination B had X+1-number of first-round votes, nomination B would be the winner.

  • Each member in good standing will receive a ballot directly from the Election Services Provider (i.e. noreply-[dynamic_id]@bigpulse.com). This is a voting link unique to you and cannot be shared. Once you complete your ballot, the results cannot be changed, so please consider carefully when casting your vote.

  • If you have not received your ballot on the day voting opened, please email submissions@propertymastersguild.org to receive a reissued ballot.

  • Please email submissions@propertymastersguild.org with your question.

Answers on Voting

  • September 13, 2025 - details are available here.

  • In order to receive studio funding needed to produce the awards show every year, it was important to separate our awards show from other shows in the first quarter of the year. Additionally, as Los Angeles is primarily a television town, aligning our awards with the Emmys in the fall created more opportunities for financial support, industry participation and publicity.

  • Yes, tickets for members will be deeply discounted. Ticket prices can be found here. If you wish to join the Guild to take advantage of membership discounts, you can do so here. Please know that it can take 30 days for membership review and approval, so please plan accordingly.

  • Unfortunately, the event will not be livestreamed this year as the cost to do so is significant. We hope to, in future years, livestream the awards show. However, there will be a recording of the event made available for those who cannot attend.

  • Contact submissions@propertymastersguild.org for any other questions.
